ADULT BIBLE FELLOWSHIPS As the name of these groups suggests, our Adult Bible Fellowships are organized to provide adults with the opportunity for both solid Bible teaching and meaningful fellowship with other believers. It is in and through these groups that we work to carry out the “one another” exhortations of Scripture is pursuit of the authentic sense of community that we desire at JBC. Our Adult Bible Fellowships meet on Sunday mornings from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. COMMUNITY GROUPS It is our desire to help each participant in the ministries of Jacksonville Bible Church to take next steps in their walk with God. We believe that a key factor to our spiritual growth is to have a company of close friends within the church who are there to challenge us, encourage us, and keep us accountable. We believe that a small group ministry format is the most effective tool for cultivating the close relationships between Christians that God so often uses to effect change in our life-change in our becoming more like Jesus. At Jacksonville Bible Church, our Community Groups are safe and comfortable places to share our life with others without fear of judgment or negative criticism. The major elements of our Community Group meetings are: Bible study-informal, interactive study and discussion with the goal of encouraging the application of God's Word in our day to day lives; Fellowship-personal sharing designed to encourage friendships built on trust and openness; and Prayer-personal, burden-bearing prayer and praise, with the goal of seeking God. MEN'S MINISTRIES Men's Fellowship Breakfast The men of JBC gather for breakfast, encouragement from the Word, and fellowship monthly on the second Saturday of each month at 8:00 A.M. in the Fellowship Hall. Men’s Bible Study The men of JBC meet for Bible study on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month in the church library at 7:00 P.M. We also meet for a dedicated time of prayer on the 4th Wednesday night of each month at the same time and location. WOMEN'S MINISTRIES Monthly Women's Fellowship We hope you will join the women of JBC to share in a monthly time of fellowship the first Monday of each month from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall located on ground floor of the education building. Child care is provided. Women's Bible Study We invite you to join the ladies of JBC for our women's Bible study that meets at 7:00 p.m. every Monday but the first Monday of the month which is set aside for a fellowship time. What is MOPS International? MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. Mothers of Preschoolers is an international organization, providing an opportunity to meet other moms and make the journey of motherhood together. Check out their website at www.mops.org. MOPS provides a morning of rest, rejuvenation, instruction, creativity, food, fellowship, support and affirmation for mothers of infant through kindergarten in a caring, accepting atmosphere. Is child care provided? Yes- We provide a fun, nurturing environment for kids to play and learn in the MOPPETS program while you take a well deserved break!! Snack will be provided for children.
